Lizzie's ink drawings carry a very distinct style and their success
relies on strong line work, texture and composition. Lizzie creates
drawings which hold energy and tension yet a strange stillness. She uses
the line, scratch and smudge of black ink to describe her subject,
sometimes playfully placing a small piece of colour or exploiting an
expanse of white page to create the perfect composition.
Lizzie has recently moved from Bath to Devon. She is working as an
Artist and llustrator graduating from Bath Spa University in 2003 with a
BA Hons in Illustration. Her ink drawings and mixed media pieces are
commissioned for book jackets, editorial projects, magazine articles,
design ventures and advertising campaigns. Clients include Jamie
Oliver’s Restaurant, The Independent Newspaper, The Radio Times, Random
House Publishing, The Dorchester Hotel Magazine and The Financial Times.
Lizzie has won the Royal Mail Travel Award from The Royal Society of
Arts for her unique Postage Stamp Designs. One design of which is for
sale entitled 'The Dog Show.'
