Julia Manning
Artist/Printmaker
Julia has a BA Hons in fine art from Bath Academy of Art and her work is all about the natural world, it has been described as 'Nature with Attitude (which she rather likes). Inspiration comes from her garden, the birds in it and her early morning walks with her dog, Pearl. She is a passionate full time printmaker, loving the craft and fine art combined. For the past 10 years she has worked solely as an Artist/Printmaker, indulging her passion for etching and relief, lino and woodcuts, creating limited edition handmade prints on Somerset Printmaking Paper. She is an associate member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and the Society of Wildlife Artists. She exhibits regularly in London with The Society of Wildlife Artists and Originals, where last year she was given 2 awards, The Fenton Arts Trust and the RE award. At last year's Annual Exhibition of The Royal Society Of Painter Printmakers she was awarded The John Purcel Paper Prize and The Paintings In Hospitals Purchase Prize. Her work is in the collections of The British Embassy in Paris, Paintings in Hospitals, The Aberystwyth Print Archives and the House of Lords.
