Lucy moved from London eleven years ago and changed from commercial public art to making individual pieces; responding to the crumbling and weathered landscape of Dartmoor and the Devon coast which influences the process used in her clay work. Recently Lucy has been exploiting Raku firing techniques to create random cracking, reduction and smoking to enhance the themes of fossilised remains and mythical creatures.
