Sculpture
Each piece of sculpture by Mark Smith draws inspiration from the Sea. As he works a narrative evolves, telling the tales of maritime adventures. The clay is worked with found objects from beach combing and these are used to add texture, or attached to the finished piece. Mark uses a variety of decorative techniques, including press moulding and patch-working pieces together to create a weathered and sea aged style.
