LYNN WALTERS
Wire Sculpture

Lynn is a graduate of Cardiff School of Art and Design and works primarily with mild steel wire, anodised aluminium and recycled tin to produce colourful wall and freestanding sculpture that depict human life with a humorous twist.

Her work is inspired by memories of people and places, snapshots of time triggered by a familiar song or colour or smell.  She lives and works in Wales and her pieces have an allusion to the scenes Dylan Thomas describes so well.  Trodden pathways from houses to mountains, streets and coast, chapels and churches.  All with figures, walking, working, sitting or playing together with colourful dresses, dogs, flowers, boats – depicting life and detail in communities we can all identify with.
